Bidisha is a writer, critic and broadcaster who began her career at 14, as a journalist for Arts and Style publications internationally. She signed her first book deal when she was 16. She presents and contributes to Arts shows and documentaries for BBC Radio and TV, and she writes on the Arts and on social politics for the New Statesman, the Financial Times and the Observer and has a weekly column in The Guardian. She judged the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2009 and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in 2010. Her latest book is Venetian Masters.
