Gautam is the author of the novel Londonstani (2006) and has been a journalist at The Financial Times since 1998. His writing has also appeared in The New York Times, Time Out and Prospect Magazine. He was born and raised in Hounslow, attended his local comprehensive school and studied Social and Political Sciences at Christ’s College, Cambridge.
