Kishwar Desai has worked in print and TV for over 20 years. Her first book Darlingji:The True Love Story of Nargis and Sunil Dutt was published by HarperCollins India in 2007. Her first novel, Witness the Night, was published in the UK by Beautiful Books in 2010 and won the Costa First Novel Award, was longlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize 2009 and has been longlisted for The DSC Prize for South Asian Literature 2012.
