Embrace Arts, RA Centre, University of Leicester
Embrace Arts creates connections between the University of Leicester and wider communities. It is a creative hub for artists, performers, audiences and learners alike. It pioneers vibrant and creative approaches to the Arts in an inclusive and welcoming space, and breaks down barriers to access.
A welcoming 120-seater performance area, art studios, extensive exhibition galleries and a bright foyer space enable people to engage with the Arts as audiences, performers and learners.
Long active in the Arts and the area of disability-causes, Lord Attenborough was fundamental to the creation of the RA centre and continues to be a supporter, closely involved with its activities. The RA centre was opened on 27 May 1997 by Diana, Princess of Wales.
